Who we are
psychologyoftreasury.com is operated by Svetlana Kardan, trading as The Psychology of Treasury (“we”, “us”, “our”). Contact for data matters: contact@psychologyoftreasury.com.
What data we collect and why
- Email address — when you subscribe, request a chapter, enquire, or create an account. Used to send requested content and account/transactional messages. Lawful basis: consent (mailing list) / contract (account).
- Name & country/region — when you register or enquire. Used to personalise your experience and respond to you. Lawful basis: contract / consent.
- Payment data — if and when subscriptions launch, processed by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers. Lawful basis: contract.
- Usage data — standard web analytics, used to improve the site. Lawful basis: legitimate interests. No analytics provider is in use at present.
- IP address — recorded with form submissions and by our hosting for security. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
How your data is handled
Submissions are stored in our own database on our hosting, and notification/confirmation emails are sent via our email provider (IONOS). We do not sell your data. The simulation tools run in your browser; the governed platform caches the data you enter to operate.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to withdraw consent; to object to processing; and to data portability. Email contact@psychologyoftreasury.com to exercise these rights. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Data retention
Email addresses are retained while you are subscribed or hold an active account, plus 12 months. Transactional records are retained for 7 years as required by UK law.
Third parties
We share data with our email provider (IONOS) for notification and confirmation messages, and with our hosting provider. A payment provider will be added here when subscriptions launch. All processors are contractually bound to GDPR-equivalent standards. We do not sell your data.
International transfers
Where a processor operates outside the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards — Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
Changes
Active subscribers are notified of material changes by email. The current version is always at psychologyoftreasury.com/privacy.
